It's a beautiful morning. I had laundry out on the line all through all that rain, so I brought in half of it and ran it through a spin cycle. It's done now, so I'll go hang it out and bring in the rest to spin ( Read more... )

I did serious housework today. I swamped out the laundry room, the library (which is the room we actually spend all of our time in) and the kitchen. The floors are mopped, the counters are clean, all the dishes are washed, the stove is scrubbed, the daybed has been stripped and remade, and all in all the place looks great.

It's morning. Vacation is over (well, for David; I'm finding today much more restful). Chickens and cats are fed, time to feed the dogs. Today's plan is laundry, dishes, sweeping, mopping, and shelving of books. And the making of coffee, of course ( Read more... )

I've had breakfast, made a fire, hauled more firewood, fed the chickens, and cleared off one of the counters in the kitchen so I can wash dishes.
